CUISINE DU MONDE
Travel in the Caribbean & Martinique cuisine and taste sunny recipes / punch planteur included
Martinican cuisine is a true journey for the senses, where African, French, Indian, Indigenous, and Creole influences come together in perfect harmony. Vibrant, aromatic, and generous, it showcases fresh, locally sourced ingredients such as fish and seafood, marinated meats, root vegetables, tropical fruits, fragrant herbs, and a rich variety of spices.
Renowned for its balance of delicate flavors and bold character, Martinican gastronomy features an impressive array of iconic specialties, including accras de morue (salt cod fritters), chicken or goat colombo (a fragrant Caribbean curry), Creole blood sausage, féroce d'avocat (a spicy avocado and salt cod spread), fish court-bouillon (Creole fish stew), grilled spiny lobster, and an assortment of delicious desserts made with coconut, banana, pineapple, or guava.
