Alsatian flan with apples and dried fruits - virtual workshop version

A typical dish from the north of France with the apple in the spotlight.

 

 

Note

The golden apple is perfect for baking as in pies.

Custard

Egg
125 Ml
Milk
3 Tbsp
Flour
2 Tbsp
Sugar
1 Pinch(es)
Cinnamon powder
1 Pinch(es)
Nutmeg
1 Tsp
Vanilla extract

Garnish

2 Unit(s)
Golden delicious apple
2 Tbsp
Raisins blonds
2 Tbsp
Walnuts
  • Butter

Preparation time: 45 min

Preheat your oven at 375 °F

  • To prepare before class

    Ingredients :

    Make sure all of your ingredients are out and weighed.

    Wash the apples.

    You will need :

    1 mixing bowl + 1 whisk

    1 cake pan or 2 oven-safe ramekins

    1 spatula 

    1 cutting board + 1 paring knife

  • Preparation to do with the chef

    Peel and cut the apples into thin slices.

    Chop the nuts into small pieces.

  • Assembly and cooking

    Start by mixing all the ingredients for the custard.

    Arrange the apple slices at the bottom of your baking dishes and pour the custard mixture on top.

    Sprinkle the nuts and the blond raisins over the whole thing before baking for 20-30 minutes.

    Serve still warm.
