Carrot cake

65 Ml
Flour
1 Yolk
Egg
2 Tbsp
Maple syrup
2 Tbsp
Pecan
125 Ml
Grated carrot
1 Pinch(es)
Cinnamon
1 Pinch(es)
Nutmeg
1 Unit(s)
Orange
0.50 Tsp
Baking powder
2 Tbsp
Canola oil

Icing

50 Gr
Cream cheese
100 Ml
Icing sugar

Preheat your Oven at 0 °F

  • To prepare before class

    Ingredients

    Wash the carrot.

    Make sure all of your ingredients are WEIGHED AND MESURED.

    Equipment list

    1 microwave

    2 mugs or 2 ramequins

    2 mixing bowls

    1 cheese grater

    1 peeler

    1 wooden spoon

    1 spatula

    1 cutting board + 1 knife

  • Preparation to do with the chef

    Peel and grate the carrot.

    Chop the pecans.

    Zest the orange.

  • Carrot cake

    In a bowl, combine the flour, spices and baking powder.

    Add the egg yolk, canola oil, maple syrup, carrots, pecans and orange zest.

    Mix everything with the wooden spoon.

    Divide the mixture into your cooking containers.

    Cook in the microwave on medium power for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Make sure the cake is cooked with a toothpick.

    Leave to cool for about 30 minutes.

  • Icing

    In a bowl, combine the icing sugar and cream cheese using a spatula.

    Spread on top of your cakes.
