TENDANCE COCKTAILS

Mojitos !

The Mojito is an iconic cocktail originating from Cuba, with a history dating back to the 16th century, long before its modern popularization. It traces its roots to a drink called “El Draque,” named in honor of the famous English corsair Francis Drake, who landed in Cuba. At the time, this early version combined raw rum, sugarcane, mint leaves, and lime juice for its medicinal properties against scurvy and digestive ailments.

Over the centuries, the cocktail evolved: smoother Cuban rum replaced the raw spirits, refined sugar was added, and the recipe was perfected to create the Mojito as we know it today—a refreshing blend of white rum, mint, lime, sugar, and sparkling water.
