Provencal toast with goat cheese and black olive tapenade - virtual workshop version

A slice of country bread spread with fresh goat cheese and black olive tapenade.

Note

It is possible to replace the goat cheese with another type of spreadable cheese.

Ingredients

Tapenade

0.50 Cup(s)
Pitted kalamata olives
1 Tbsp
Capers
1 Clove(s)
Garlic
1 Tbsp
Lemon juice
2 Tbsp
Olive oil
1 Dash
Anchovy

Bread

2 Thick slice(s)
Country bread
50 Gr
Fresh goat cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Preparation time: 30 min

Preheat your oven at 400 °F

  • Things to do before workshop

    Ingredients

    Peel and chop the garlic.

    Make sure that there are no pits left in your olives.

    Equipment list

    1 cutting board, 1 chef kinfe, 1 paring knife

    1 mixing bowl

    Kitchen towels, tablespoons (tasting)

    1 large spoon

    1 blender

    1 pasty sheet + parchment paper

  • Tapenade

    Gather all the ingredients in the blender, make sure to mix everything well, until you obtain a puree.

    Adjust the seasoning mainly with pepper, be careful, the salt is already present with the olives.

    Reserve the tapenade in a refrigerator.

  • Bread

    Bake in the oven the bread slices basted with olive oil, salt and pepper for 6 to 8 minutes.

    Once the crostini has cooled, spread your goat cheese and serve with the tapenade.

It is possible to replace the goat cheese with another type of spreadable cheese.
